Players using multiple accounts create a negative matchmaking experience at all skill brackets, so our goal is to add just enough friction to this process that the number of players doing this will be noticeably reduced. Having more players using their primary accounts will have a positive effect on both Ranked and Unranked Matchmaking. There will be a two-week grace period from today during which players have time to register a number, but starting on May 4th, accounts without a registered number will no longer be eligible for Ranked play. If a phone number is removed from an account after registration, a new number can be added, but there will be a three-month waiting period before the removed number can be registered on a new account. This is to prevent using the same number on multiple accounts. Online services that provide phone numbers are not allowed. Any player who selects this option will be placed into matches where all ten players are queuing solo.

A quick search on these forums will reveal that in fact, if you abandon a single game, there is no penalty – you won’t be in the low priority queue for ONE abandoned game. So this is leeway for you to get unlucky in. After a while, you can abandon another with no penalty as well, after a consistent streak of not leaving. If you leave a second game within some short period of time, you will enter the low priority queue.

To get to this stage, it means that you got unlucky once, and knowing your connection could die again, you still decided you would put another game with another 9 people at risk. In my opinion they should make the matches equal tier matches, or buff the lower tier ships so they match the highest tier ships in all the respective values for their respective type, not just armor, hp and damage potential. Why do I think this? Because it needs to be properly balanced with regards to it being player vs. How it is now is in no way reasonable or fair, and if you were to compare this to other PvP games that uses a level system to balance the game, then the tier difference is the equivalent of level difference as level directly affect defensive and offensive values and capabilities.
